Cleveleys Car Show
Sunday 10 June 2018
Make a date for the Cleveleys Car Show on Sunday, 10 June.
The main shopping street, Victoria Road West, will be closed to traffic while the event takes over the town centre and the promenade for the day.
There’s be all kinds of vehicles – new and old – car clubs and individual exhibitors. Which one is your favourite?
It’s a great, free, fun day out for all the family. We’ll see you there!
It’s also the same day as Thornton Cleveleys Gala, with the parade in Thornton and the funfair and field events at Jubilee Gardens, Cleveleys.
There are always lots of different vehicles at the show – last years exhibits included a De Lorean (Back to the Future modified), a stretched limo’, Cadillacs, The NW Amercican Car Club, Blackpool Vehicle Preservation Group, Ford and Friends, Ford RS Club and more.
Blackpool & Fylde College Motorsports Department also exhibited.
It’s always busy, especially in the afternoon. The morning is a good time to visit as it is not as busy but the cars will still be in place from 10.00am.
Visitors are advised to arrive early as parking will be an issue and it might be a good idea if you can to arrive by tram or bus.
If you enjoyed the event last year keep it in your mind if you’d like to be involved this year.
These are the trophies for the Car Show (below).
Prizes will be awarded for the oldest exhibit, furthest travelled and judges favourite (but only to those exhibitors who have pre registered).
Register now at www.ukwheelsevents.ning.com or call in at 13 Rossall Road, Thornton Cleveleys.
400 cars are expected on the day – so there will be plenty for you to pick your favourite from!
I’m sure you’ll agree that this is a very well organised and very well put together event, the highlight of the year in Cleveleys.
To enable this quality of event to continue and grow, the most important thing is funding and anyone who would like to contribute as a sponsor of next years show is urged to get in touch as soon as possible.
Funding is a major issue, perhaps the most important one, as it costs several thousand pounds to stage the event – and that’s even with the goodwill of performers who give their time for free, along with all the volunteers before the event and on the day and businesses who contribute materials, equipment and time.
The team have some very big ideas – but big ideas cost money!
Have a look at these photos from previous years.

There is a very limited availability of space for stalls at the event and these will be filled on a first come, first served basis. Please contact the organisers on 07968 740799.
