The Cox Motor Group Cleveleys Car Show is the day when the event takes over the town centre and promenade.
Sunday, 10 June 2018
There were all kinds of vehicles – new and old – car clubs and individual exhibitors. Which one is your favourite?
Have a look at this gallery of photos from a very successful day. The weather was perfect and Cleveleys was packed out from end to end with people enjoying a fabulous day. Well done to the organisers!
Cleveleys Car Show is a great, free, fun day out for all the family. It’s quite amazing to see so many cars parked right at the edge of the beach.
Many thanks to Cox Motor Group who are the main sponsors of this year’s classic car show and will be displaying their top of the range SEAT and Honda models at the show.
They encompass 3 brands, Honda (cars and motorcycles), SEAT and Volkswagen, and have dealerships located throughout the North West.
There are always lots of different vehicles at the show – previous exhibits have included:
- a De Lorean (Back to the Future modified),
- stretched limo’,
- The NW Amercican Car Club,
- Blackpool Vehicle Preservation Group,
- Ford and Friends,
- Ford RS Club,
- and many, many more.
It’s always busy, especially in the afternoon. The morning is a good time to visit as it is not as busy but the cars will still be in place from 10.00am.
Visitors are advised to arrive early as parking will be an issue and it might be a good idea if you can to arrive by tram or bus.
Please note that Victoria Road West (the main shopping street) will be closed between Nutter Road (adjacent to Wilkinson’s) and the clock shelter at the promenade.
Awards at Cleveleys Car Show
These are the trophies handed out at Cleveleys Car Show in 2017 (below).
Prizes are awarded for the oldest exhibit, furthest travelled and judges favourite (but only to those exhibitors who have pre registered).
I’m sure you’ll agree that this is a very well organised and very well put together event, the highlight of the year in Cleveleys.
To enable this quality of event to continue and grow, the most important thing is funding. Anyone who would like to contribute as a sponsor of the show is urged to get in touch.
Funding is a major issue, perhaps the most important one. It costs several thousand pounds to stage the event. That’s even with the goodwill of performers who give their time for free, along with all the volunteers before the event and on the day and businesses who contribute materials, equipment and time.
The team have some very big ideas – but big ideas cost money! Have a look at this video from 2015

There is a very limited availability of space for stalls at the event and these will be filled on a first come, first served basis. Please contact the organisers through Facebook.
