If you want to get out and about, make friends and do something different, why don’t you try Little Thornton WI?
Little Thornton WI have changed their meeting dates and times for 2016.
We now meet on the first Tuesday of the month from 2-4pm but the venue remains the Church Hall, St. John’s Church, Stanah Rd, Thornton.
We had our first meeting of 2016 on January 5th, when Pat Ascroft told us the tale of a poor Victorian farming family starting a new life in America – The Wyre Way to America. They eventually prospered in Kansas and recently their descendants returned to see if such places as Garstang and Knott End existed!
The next meeting is on 2 February 2016 when Michael Southworth from Legal Solutions is talking about “Tax, Care and Toyboys”!
New members and visitors are welcome to come for chat, tea, coffee and biscuits etc.
Several outings are being organised, including one to Blackburn’s Chocolate Factory.
